February Studio Update
What better time to write a blog update at the end of February than during a snowstorm… right? Seriously, I can’t believe it’s nearly March and this is what we’re dealing with! Being snowed in means getting a lot done, though, so that’s exciting.
New prints of some classic cheeky designs have been added to the shop including the Breakfast Club scene, Wine Lovers, and the Cheeky Still Life! While practicing with some new gouache-like brushes on my iPad - I came up with this fun & fruity design (below) that is now available as a square postcard.
Most of the next couple of months I will be focusing on a new project **possibly a second book** and playing with new illustration styles. There is something so special about the look of clean, crisp digital artwork - but I am loving the look of more painterly characters lately! Now that I am more comfortable with this digital artwork, it is fun to bring an aspect of real painting into the mix. You’ll have to let me know what you think in the comments!
Something else that is exciting… To date there have been around 80 copies sold of the Cheeky Adult Coloring Book on Amazon which is absolutely WILD! I am so grateful for all of your support.
If you’re still reading, use code CHEEKYLOVE for 20% off anything in the shop.
Before I sign off, here’s a photo of the igloo my brother and I made during the snowpocalypse! See you next month (hopefully it will be sunny by then!)
